Grease splatter screen for glass lids – alternative?
I usually cook with glass lids but they get greasy and hard to see through. Thinking a grease splatter screen might be better for visibility and less mess. Does anyone prefer it over lids?

I actually prefer the screen over glass lids for most frying – you can see exactly what’s happening in the pan (no fogged-up lid), steam escapes properly so food crisps up, and way less grease ends up on the lid itself or dripping back in. My kitchen stays cleaner overall. The screen I use has fine stainless mesh that catches splatter without blocking the view much. It’s easy to lift when stirring and cleans in seconds. Great alternative when you want visibility and less mess than a lid. This one has been my go-to instead of glass lids – grease splatter screen . Much happier with it.
